Miguel Chavez, Ed.D.

Dr. Miguel Chavez has proudly served as Superintendent of Chavez School District since its founding in 2017. With a steadfast commitment to equity, student achievement, and community partnership, Dr. Chavez has played a pivotal role in shaping the district’s vision and guiding its growth from the ground up.

Under Dr. Chavez’s leadership, the district has successfully passed three school bonds—in 2016 (pre-foundation), 2019, and 2023—each instrumental in expanding and modernizing school facilities to meet the needs of a growing student population. His ability to foster community trust and align resources with long-term educational goals has been central to the district’s continued progress.

Dr. Chavez holds a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) and brings decades of experience in public education as a teacher, principal, and district leader. His collaborative leadership style, passion for student success, and commitment to academic excellence have established Chavez School District as a thriving, future-ready community where every student is empowered to achieve their full potential.

Outside of his professional role, Dr. Chavez enjoys spending time with his wife and their three children, all of whom inspire his unwavering dedication to public education.
