Challenging students at the elementary and middle school level.

Highly Capable Programs offered in our schools are dedicated to elementary and middle school students demonstrating exceptional academic potential in a regular classroom. Students registered in these programs are assigned additional or challenging class and homework compared to students in an average classroom. 

If you would like to request your student to be assessed, please contact the appropriate department. 

2025-26 HIGHLY CAPABLE APPLICATIONS AVAILABLE SUMMER 2025 

The Chavez School District is imitating the application process for the 2025-26 Highly Capable program. Students who were enrolled in the 2023-24 Highly Capable program will automatically be transferred.
